Mitratech is seeking a Principal AI Engineer to lead a distributed team in building AI-integrated software. You will oversee architecture, system design, and AI strategy while mentoring engineers across the globe.

You will drive agentic AI capabilities, design modular architectures, and promote best practices in code quality, security, and performance. This remote role offers a high-impact chance to shape AI-enabled solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with architectural leadership.
• 2+ years working with AI/ML models in production.
• Strong backend or full-stack experience (Python).
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Devin AI, Copilot or GPT APIs).
• Strong system design focusing on RAG systems and task decomposition skills.
• Proven experience leading distributed engineering teams.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Exposure to AI agent frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGPT, Agent Core).
• Experience with DDD or microservices architecture.
• Experience with vector/graph databases and embeddings.

Responsabilités

• Technical Leadership & Architecture: guide design/deployment of AI-enabled software and ensure scalable, modular systems.
• Agentic AI & Prompt Engineering: architect MCPs/APIs and AI Agents; refine prompt strategies.
• System Design & Task Decomposition: translate goals into actionable tasks; perform code reviews.
• Mentorship & Coaching: mentor globally distributed developers and promote AI tooling adoption.
• DevOps & CI/CD: optimize pipelines with AI-enhanced review and testing steps.
