Job summary

Sedgwick seeks a Senior AI Engineer to join our distributed team in a remote role open to all U.S. states. You will own end-to-end AI product streams, design production Generative AI agents, and collaborate across business, claims, and technology partners.

You will develop full-stack systems in Python and React, manage AWS deployments with Terraform IaC and GitHub Actions, and ensure security, PHI, and governance while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Six or more years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years shipping production Generative AI agents, workflows, or applications.
• Hands-on AWS experience required.
• Proficiency in Python and React; CI/CD ownership.
• Experience embedding with business users or vendor teams.
• Experience in insurance, claims, healthcare, or regulated domain preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns end-to-end build stream within a pod.
• Designs, builds, and operates production Generative AI agents and workflows.
• Develops full-stack software in Python and React.
• Owns deployment on AWS with Terraform IaC and GitHub Actions.
• Implements observability, evaluations, and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Ensures security, PHI handling, and compliance.
• Mentors Junior AI Engineers and promotes engineering standards.
• Troubleshoots performance, latency, cost, and reliability.
