GE Vernova is building a dedicated AI Engineer team to develop and optimize prompts for LLMs, collaborating with domain experts to deliver software solutions across the business. The role focuses on prompt engineering, model integration, and building reusable frameworks to share across units.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in ML/NLP, Python, and hands-on experience with PyTorch, Pandas, and OpenAI/GPT tooling. On-site work in the U.S. is expected with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field with 8+ years' relevant experience.
• Experience using ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch) and data-processing libraries (Pandas, NumPy).
• Familiarity with prompt engineering and tools like OpenAI GPT, Hugging Face, etc.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with domain experts to understand business needs and translate them into clear and effective LLM prompts.
• Develop, test, and refine prompts for a variety of use cases with high accuracy and relevance.
• Work closely with software developers to integrate LLM solutions into existing or new applications.
• Contribute to a scalable framework for prompt engineering, promoting reuse and knowledge sharing.
• Gather and analyze user feedback to continually improve prompt effectiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with LLM advancements and contribute to tool/platform decisions.
• Document prompt engineering processes, best practices, and use-case outcomes.
