Job summary

GE Vernova is building a team to leverage Generative AI and redefine engagement with the industry. We seek an AI Engineer to create and optimize prompts for LLMs and collaborate with domain experts to develop software solutions.

The role involves integrating LLMs into existing or new apps, developing a scalable prompt framework, and documenting processes. A 5+ year bachelor’s in CS/Engineering is required, with ideal candidates holding a Master’s in AI Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field with 5+ years’ relevant experience.
• Master’s degree in AI Engineering or related field is ideal.
• Experience with prompt engineering and AI/ML tools (OpenAI GPT, Hugging Face, etc.).
• Proficiency in Python or other AI/ML languages.
• Experience with ML frameworks and data processing libraries.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with domain experts to translate business needs into clear and effective LLM prompts.
• Develop, test, and refine prompts for various use cases with high accuracy and relevance.
• Work closely with software developers to integrate LLM solutions into applications.
• Contribute to a scalable framework for prompt engineering across units.
• Gather user feedback to improve prompt effectiveness.
• Stay up-to-date with LLM advancements and tool choices.
• Document prompt engineering processes and outcomes for a knowledge base.
