Job summary

GE Vernova is building a dedicated team to leverage Generative AI to automate prompting, develop a reusable framework, and share across businesses. We seek an AI Engineer to create and optimize prompts for LLMs, collaborating with domain experts and end users to deliver software solutions that address internal and external needs.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field with 3+ years' relevant experience.
• Experience with prompt engineering and familiarity with OpenAI GPT models and Hugging Face.
• Proficiency in Python or other programming languages used in AI/ML development.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication with stakeholders.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to changing project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with domain experts to translate business needs into clear LLM prompts.
• Develop, test, and refine prompts for diverse use cases with high output relevance.
• Work with software developers to integrate LLM solutions into applications.
• Contribute to a scalable prompt engineering framework for reuse across units.
• Gather user feedback and improve prompt effectiveness based on insights.
• Stay current with LLM advancements and contribute to tool/platform decisions.
• Document prompt engineering processes and outcomes to build a knowledge base.
