Job summary

GE Vernova is building a dedicated AI team to advance prompt engineering for LLMs, collaborating with domain experts to deliver robust software solutions. This role focuses on designing, testing, and refining prompts and integrating them into existing systems to enable scalable AI-powered workflows.

You will contribute to a framework that promotes reuse across business units while staying current with AI research.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience and a Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, AI, ML, AI Engineering, or related fields.
• 3+ years of experience with prompt engineering and familiarity with tools such as OpenAI GPT models, Hugging Face, etc.
• 5+ years of experience with Python or other programming languages commonly used in AI/ML development.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch) and data processing libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy).
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional work.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with domain experts to understand business needs and translate them into LLM prompts.
• Develop, test, and refine prompts for diverse use cases with high accuracy.
• Work with software developers to integrate LLM solutions into applications.
• Contribute to a scalable prompt engineering framework promoting reuse across units.
• Gather user feedback to continually improve prompt effectiveness.
• Stay updated on LLM advancements and advise on tool/platform choices.
• Document prompt engineering processes and outcomes to build a knowledge base.
