T. Rowe Price is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the AI Engineering team. You will design, build, and scale production-grade AI agents and intelligent systems, and lead technical workstreams across the squad.

This hands-on role requires strong software fundamentals and practical AI engineering experience, with opportunities to mentor others and influence patterns used across the firm. Roles can be in NYC or Harbor Point, Baltimore, MD.

Formación

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on development in Python, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building AI-enabled applications, intelligent workflows, or agentic systems using modern LLMs.
• Practical experience with AI engineering patterns such as orchestration, tool/function calling, retrieval-based systems, and structured outputs.
• Experience taking AI-enabled systems to production with testing, monitoring, reliability, and security considerations.

Responsabilidades

• Own end-to-end design and delivery of production-grade AI agents and systems.
• Lead technical workstreams from rapid experiments to production adoption.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate needs into scalable AI solutions.
• Establish evaluation, testing, and production monitoring approaches for non-deterministic AI systems.
• Mentor engineers, lead reviews, and drive improvements in code quality and maintainability.
