Job summary

Acquisition.com is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy production-grade AI agents powering ACQ Vantage. You will work in a lean Technology team to ship agentic workflows, integrating LLMs with internal tools, data systems, and user-facing products.

The role focuses on production reliability, speed, and practical value, with hands-on coding in TypeScript and Python. Remote US-based with quarterly on-sites in Las Vegas, full-time.

Qualifications

• 7+ years shipping production software systems (distributed backends, APIs, deployment pipelines).
• 2+ years building production RAG systems using vector databases with embedding strategies.
• Experience deploying AI agents or multi-step LLM workflows in production.
• Experience with evaluation frameworks for LLM-based products.
• Ability to reduce LLM API costs via routing, caching, or architecture.
• Experience with multiple LLM providers and understanding tradeoffs in prompts.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python in a production stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI agents and end-to-end workflows.
• Integrate LLMs with internal systems, data sources, and APIs.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to ship AI features quickly.
• Own and improve RAG pipelines across Pinecone namespaces and retrieval tuning.
• Build an evaluation framework with datasets, quality scoring, and metrics.
• Optimize model routing and costs while maintaining output quality.
