Job summary

Michael Baker International is seeking a Senior Microsoft AI Developer to join our CTO organization in a fully remote capacity. You will design and deliver enterprise‑grade AI‑capable applications and Copilot Studio agents that enable the organization to scale intelligent solutions across the Microsoft ecosystem.

This development‑focused role involves owning the engineering and delivery on Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, and Power Platform, with collaboration across IT, Data & AI,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience with Microsoft technologies and hands‑on application development.
• Experience building Copilot Studio agents in an enterprise environment.
• Strong experience with Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and Microsoft Power Platform.
• Proficiency in Python for developing, integrating, and automating AI solutions.
• Experience with source control and modern deployment practices including Git, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, RAG patterns, grounding, and evaluation of generative AI output.
• Experience integrating solutions with Microsoft 365, Azure services, and external APIs.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Copilot Studio agents — including topics, actions, tools, orchestration, connectors, and knowledge grounding.
• Implement retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) patterns against enterprise content to keep agent responses accurate and traceable.
• Develop and deploy generative AI solutions on Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI, including model selection and prompt engineering.
• Build and consume Azure AI and Azure OpenAI APIs in Python to extend Copilot Studio agents.
• Develop supporting Power Apps and Power Automate flows for AI use cases.
• Implement responsible AI practices — validation, prompt defense, and security guardrails.
• Partner with Data & AI teams to align solutions with GenAI strategy.
• Support PoCs, pilots, MVPs, and deployments; document patterns and manage assets.
• Provide technical guidance and enablement to makers, developers, and stakeholders.
• Promote source control, automated build/release pipelines, and maintainable solutions.
• Track usage and impact to drive continuous improvement.
