Job summary

MAIA is an AI platform enabling teams to search internal data and embed agents into processes. As an AI Engineer, you will develop MAIA from concept to feature, shaping how people interact with chat and agents while ensuring secure, fast, and scalable performance across large knowledge bases.

You’ll connect external systems, manage knowledge extraction from diverse formats, and continuously improve agents using evals and testing. Strong product thinking and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Built and shipped backend systems in production.
• Experience with TypeScript, Python or Go.
• Familiar with LLMs, embeddings, vector search, tool calling.

Responsibilities

• Develop MAIA further from concept to feature.
• Shape chat and agents for multi-step tasks with sources.
• Connect external systems and make knowledge usable across formats.
• Integrate language models, evaluate quality, cost and speed.
• Build isolated environments for running code and tools; improve reliability.
