Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Intel team, blending intelligence analysis with AI-driven product development. You will build end-to-end AI-powered internal applications, APIs, and services, embedding with analysts to understand workflows and deliver scalable solutions.

You will own technical design, architecture, and delivery, using Python/JS/TS, with exposure to modern AI models and agentic tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years full-stack software engineering experience building scalable web applications, services, and APIs.
• Strong product sense — ability to ship high-impact scalable solutions.
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript with strong back-end skills.
• Experience building backend systems, with datastores such as Postgres/pgvector, Pinecone, Redis, and designing APIs.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and applications (modern AI models, agentic IDEs, AI-enabled workflows).
• High ownership and initiative; able to work independently in ambiguous problems.
• Strong communication and ability to build trust with semi-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Embed directly with intel analysts to translate goals into technical solutions.
• Identify highest-leverage opportunities to improve intelligence collection and productize work.
• Design, build, and own AI-powered internal applications end-to-end (back-end, data storage, APIs, UI).
• Develop agentic solutions leveraging state-of-the-art models to augment workflows.
• Own projects end-to-end: design, scope, delivery, iteration, and support.
• Build reliable, scalable systems analysts depend on daily.
• Continuously evaluate impact and iterate based on outcomes.
