Job summary

RWE Americas, LLC is seeking a Senior AI Engineer I to own end-to-end AI capabilities within one or more products. You will design, build, deploy, and operate AI features, including retrieval pipelines, model logic, API integration, and production monitoring.

The role requires 5+ years in software or AI/ML, strong Python/SQL skills, and cloud and CI/CD experience for AI products. Some travel to field locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering AI/ML capabilities end-to-end in production.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency and cloud platform exposure.
• Experience building retrieval and context pipelines and evaluating ML models.
• Familiarity with AI security controls and responsible AI practices.
• Experience in IT/OT environments or power/energy sector a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and own end-to-end AI capabilities across products.
• Train and evaluate ML models for classification, forecasting, anomaly detection.
• Build retrieval and context pipelines using tagging and metadata strategies.
• Design evaluation suites with offline evals and AI metrics; monitor drift.
• Manage inference cost and latency in production and optimize performance.
• Collaborate with partners, maintain runbooks, and ensure production readiness.
