Job summary

Databricks is seeking an experienced AI Engineer for Forward Deployed Engineering (AI FDE). You will design, build, and productionize GenAI applications for customers, working closely with cross-functional teams and customers globally.

This role is open to remote locations in the United States. You will lead production rollouts, advise customers, and contribute to the product roadmap while staying at the forefront of GenAI trends and best practices. Willing to travel 4–8 weeks per year.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data science experience with pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch.
• Experience deploying production ML across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Graduate degree in CS, Engineering, Statistics, OR.
• Willing to travel 4–8 weeks per year.

Responsibilities

• Develop GenAI solutions using latest Databricks techniques.
• Own production rollouts of GenAI apps.
• Advise customers technically across domains.
• Present at conferences such as Data + AI Summit.
• Collaborate with product/engineering to shape the roadmap.
• Build GenAI apps including RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, fine-tuning.
