Job summary

Databricks is seeking an experienced AI Engineer for the Forward Deployed Engineering team. You will design, build, and productionize GenAI applications at scale, working directly with customers to deliver impactful AI solutions.

You will own end-to-end production rollouts, advise on technical strategy, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to shape the roadmap. Global remote work is supported, with travel every 4–8 weeks as needed.

Qualifications

• GenAI development experience including RAG, multi-agent systems, Text2SQL, fine-tuning.
• Production-grade GenAI deployment expertise with evaluation and optimization.
• Hands-on data science experience using pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, etc.
• Experience building production ML deployments on AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Graduate degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong collaboration and lifelong learning mindset.
• Preferred Databricks Intelligence Platform and Spark experience.
• Willingness to travel every 4–8 weeks as needed.
