Target is seeking a Senior AI Engineer for Advanced AI in Minnesota. The role focuses on building end-to-end AI/ML systems, including LLM-powered applications and agentic architectures.

You will write production-grade code, deploy models, and collaborate with data scientists, platform teams, and stakeholders to turn complex problems into practical AI solutions. You will partner with senior engineers to evaluate technical options, address risks, and improve reusable engineering patterns.

Formación

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years hands-on software engineering experience.
• Experience developing AI/ML applications, including LLM-powered apps.
• Strong proficiency with Python and AI/ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel.
• Experience with model APIs, prompt orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, evaluation approaches, observability tools, cloud platforms, containers, or orchestration technologies.
• Understanding of system design, architecture, model and framework tradeoffs, experimentation, evaluation, and production deployment considerations for AI systems.
• Experience building maintainable services, APIs, data pipelines, applications, or platforms.
• Experience with version control, CI/CD, code review practices, documentation, operational monitoring, and production support.
• Ability to break down requirements into clear engineering tasks with cross-functional partners.
• Strong communication skills with engineers, data scientists, product partners, and stakeholders.
• Self-driven and results-oriented with ownership and high technical standards.
• Collaborative team player and commitment to continuous learning.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, deploy, and maintain production-grade AI/ML applications supporting automation, insight, and action.
• Write maintainable, well-tested code and support model/framework integration.
• Build APIs and data/app workflows; contribute to deployment, monitoring, and production support.
• Ensure AI applications are secure, reliable, and aligned to Target standards.
• Collaborate with Lead/Principal Engineers to evaluate options and resolve roadblocks.
