Job summary

NextBigWhat seeks a Sr. AI Engineer (AI/FDE) to design, deploy and optimize cutting-edge generative AI solutions. In a customer-facing role, you will transform research into production-grade AI systems, collaborating with product, engineering, and research teams across industries.

You will work on RAG pipelines, multi-agent architectures, Text-to-SQL, and model fine-tuning, with cloud deployment across AWS/Azure/GCP. Travel to customer locations is expected periodically.

Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience in data science and ML with practical AI deployments.
• Experience building generative AI apps (RAG, multi-agent, Text-to-SQL).
• Experience deploying on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced generative AI solutions (RAG, multi-agent, Text-to-SQL).
• Lead deployment and production rollout of AI apps with reliability and scale.
• Advise customers by translating business problems into AI architectures.
• Evaluate and improve production AI applications through testing and optimization.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, research, and developer relations teams.
• Share expertise via customer engagements and industry events.
• Travel to customer sites roughly every 4-8 weeks.
