Job summary

Niuro is hiring a Lead Data Engineer for a fintech lending company. You will own the end-to-end data platform—architecture, pipelines, quality and governance—while staying hands-on.

Fluent Spanish is required to work with business teams. You will build reliable pipelines between SQL Server, BigQuery and third-party integrations, define medallion architecture with lineage, and set governance across BigQuery and Azure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing and operating production data pipelines in fintech or lending.
• Experience remediating legacy data end-to-end.
• Strong Google Cloud (BigQuery) and Azure (Data Factory, ADLS).
• Production Python and strong SQL, including BigQuery partitioning, clustering and cost control.
• Medallion architecture with schema contracts and lineage.
• Hands-on by default. Fluent Spanish and B2+ English.

What you bring

• 5+ years designing and operating production data pipelines, ideally in fintech or lending.
• Experience inheriting legacy data and remediating it end to end.
• Strong Google Cloud (BigQuery) and working knowledge of Azure (Data Factory, ADLS).
• Production Python and strong SQL, including BigQuery partitioning, clustering and cost control.
• Medallion architecture with schema contracts and lineage.
• Hands-on by default. Fluent Spanish and B2+ English.

Nice to have: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, change data capture, Docker, CI/CD, entity resolution.

100% remote, long-term contract with Niuro.
