Job summary

Funko in Burbank, CA seeks a Sr. AI Engineer to lead design, development, and productionization of enterprise AI solutions.

You will work with Digital Technology, Product, Data, and Business teams to translate opportunities into scalable AI platforms that boost productivity and create innovative customer experiences. This hands-on leadership role emphasizes reusable AI patterns, governance, and security, with responsibilities spanning LLMs, AI agents, RAG, and enterprise integrations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 8+ years software engineering experience, including 3+ years delivering production AI/ML in enterprise.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, AI agents, orchestration frameworks, prompt engineering, and agentic architectures.
• Strong Python skills and building scalable APIs and cloud-native apps.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and enterprise integrations.
• Knowledge of RAG, embeddings, semantic search and knowledge retrieval for AI apps.
• Experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring engineers in Agile environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise AI solutions to solve complex business challenges.
• Build AI-powered applications using LLMs and AI agents.
• Create intelligent workflows and automation that integrate with enterprise systems.
• Develop production-grade AI apps using Python, APIs, cloud services.
• Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation leveraging enterprise data sources.
• Lead and mentor engineers and establish reusable AI patterns and standards.
• Partner with product, security, and data teams to deliver high-value AI use cases.
