Job summary

Evertz Microsystems Limited is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to build and run production AI systems across its portfolio. This hands-on role requires owning solutions end-to-end—from problem framing with domain experts to deployment and ongoing support.

You will work on agents, multimodal apps, LLM workflows, RAG pipelines, and integrate AI with engineering and manufacturing tools. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of software engineering experience, strong Python/backend skills, hands-on LLM

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of software engineering experience delivering production LLM applications.
• Strong Python/backend skills including API design, testing, debugging and maintainable software.
• Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, prompt design, and tool-enabled agents.
• Practical RAG experience: embeddings, vector and hybrid search, reranking, and evaluating retrieval quality.
• Experience deploying cloud apps on Azure with containers, CI/CD and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Own AI applications and end-to-end services: prototyping, integration, deployment, monitoring and support.
• Build agents, multimodal apps, LLM workflows, and RAG pipelines.
• Transform datasheets and logs into grounded AI capabilities with parsing pipelines.
• Integrate AI with engineering tools, manufacturing/test systems, and business apps via APIs.
• Develop and deploy ML models and monitor them alongside LLM systems.
• Create repeatable evaluations to improve accuracy, latency, and cost.
• Develop and operate Python services on Azure with PostgreSQL, Terraform, containers, and observability.
