The Mutual Group is modernizing its data and analytics ecosystem by embedding AI and Generative AI across core insurance platforms. They seek a Sr AI Engineer to build, deploy and operate production-grade AI solutions on AWS, guiding a practical engineering path in a regulated enterprise.

This hands-on role focuses on delivering real systems, with collaboration across policy, claims, billing, and enterprise systems, and mentorship to engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in software and 3+ years AI/ML engineering required.
• Hands-on experience building production AI/ML systems in a regulated enterprise.
• Experience with RAG pipelines, LLMs or NLP-based systems.
• Experience deploying and operating systems in AWS.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices including CI/CD, monitoring and model versioning.

Responsibilities

• Build AI systems end-to-end, including LLM-based applications and RAG pipelines.
• Develop data and AI pipelines for multimodal content and enterprise data sources.
• Operationalize models with CI/CD, monitoring, and retraining processes.
• Build on AWS using SageMaker, Lambda, S3, Glue, EKS and related services.
• Apply responsible AI practices with guardrails, data security and governance.
• Lead by doing, mentoring engineers and aligning with enterprise architects.
