Job summary

Factored is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design and build production-grade GenAI systems that transform enterprise AI strategies into secure, scalable applications. You will be a hands-on engineer working directly with client teams, shipping production code while contributing to technical strategy and learning from experienced leaders.

You own complex, high-impact projects from architecture through optimization and deployment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong foundation in Python and backend systems.
• Experience with Generative AI frameworks (LangGraph, LangChain, OpenAI).
• Cloud platforms experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) for production apps.
• Experience designing and developing APIs (FastAPI, Django, Flask).
• Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL/NoSQL) and vector DBs for RAG workflows.
• DevOps/CI-CD skills (Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Git).
• Excellent English communication and ability to collaborate globally.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement backend systems integrating with LLMs.
• Build and deploy cloud-native AI applications on AWS and other infra.
• Fine-tune prompts and build RAG pipelines for performance.
• Implement AI security guardrails and perform risk assessments.
• Monitor health with observability tools and resolve performance issues.
• Collaborate with ML engineers and product managers to deliver AI features.
