Job summary

Apexon seeks an experienced AI Engineer – Agentic AI & Generative AI in Charlotte, NC, to design, build, and scale enterprise AI applications. You will focus 70% on hands‑on engineering and 30% on technical leadership, shaping AI platforms and multi‑agent architectures.

Responsibilities include deploying Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions, building LLM‑powered apps, and driving MLOps and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 15+ years software engineering experience.
• 5+ years of AI/ML, Generative AI, or Applied AI Engineering.
• Strong hands‑on Python development experience.
• Strong AWS cloud expertise.
• Proven experience building and deploying production‑grade AI applications.
• Strong knowledge of LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, and enterprise AI platforms.
• Experience with Agentic AI and multi‑agent systems.
• Hands‑on experience with LangChain and LangGraph.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock, Lambda, and ECS/EKS.
• Knowledge of S3 and DynamoDB.
• Experience with FastAPI.
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering and semantic search.
• Experience with MLOps and CI/CD.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Experience with PySpark and Kafka.
• Strong technical leadership, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy enterprise‑grade Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
• Build AI applications from initial concept through production deployment.
• Develop scalable RAG and LLM‑powered applications.
• Design and implement Agentic AI and multi‑agent architectures.
• Architect and develop cloud‑native AI platforms using AWS services.
• Build production‑ready AI solutions using Python and FastAPI.
• Implement AI solutions using LangChain and LangGraph.
• Apply prompt engineering and semantic search techniques.
• Drive AI engineering best practices, standards, and development methodologies.
• Implement MLOps and CI/CD practices for AI applications.
• Collaborate with product, business, architecture, and engineering stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Contribute to AI platform strategy, architecture, and innovation initiatives.
