Job summary

RealPage, Inc. in Richardson, TX is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to shape the strategy and delivery of Generative AI across our PropTech portfolio.

You will own the end-to-end architecture for AI products, mentor engineers, and collaborate with executives to identify high-impact AI opportunities. This role requires 2-3 days in the office per week and offers influential leadership in a fast-evolving space.

Qualifications

• Typically 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, ML Engineering, or Data Science with 3+ years hands-on in Applied AI/LLMs and 2+ years in a senior/lead role.
• Deep expertise in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript in production environments.
• Designing and operating distributed, cloud-native systems (GCP, Azure, or AWS) and containerization/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Proven track record of architecting AI systems and mentoring multi-engineer teams.
• Experience with LLM-based design, RAG, vector stores, and AI observability/evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end architecture for AI products and platforms including model selection and multi-agent workflows.
• Lead the strategy to adopt emerging AI technologies and real-time streaming infrastructures.
• Design shared AI services, SDKs, reusable RAG pipelines, and UI components for AI copilots and agents.
• Define standards for prompts, model evaluation, observability, and incident response.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, reviews, and mentorship for AI Engineers, ML Engineers, and Data Scientists.
