Job summary

CoStar Group's Land.com team in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on AI-driven product development, modern React apps, and LLM integration. You will design, build, and support high-performance web applications and AI-enabled experiences.

The role requires 6+ years of experience, hands-on React/TypeScript/JavaScript, and proven ability to mentor peers, deliver reliable features, and collaborate across product, design, QA and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited university.
• 6+ years of professional software development experience in production environments.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, C#, .NET, and SQL.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs or AI services into production code.
• Strong testing practices and software design knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, support, and maintain production web applications using React, TypeScript, CSS, JavaScript, C#, .NET, and SQL.
• Lead the development of AI-enabled features that integrate LLM capabilities into workflows and services.
• Apply senior-level engineering judgment to determine where AI adds value.
• Design and implement LLM integration patterns such as prompt orchestration and guardrails.
• Help establish practices for AI-assisted features, reliability, latency, and cost.
• Analyze requirements and design components meeting performance and maintainability.
• Apply SOLID principles, design patterns, secure coding, and testable software.
• Mentor engineers on modern development practices and AI workflows.
• Create unit, integration, and functional test coverage for software.
• Develop and maintain SQL scripts and data access patterns.
