Job summary

McGuireWoods LLP is seeking a Senior Software Developer to join the IT team. You will design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain AI-enabled software across the Microsoft stack, integrating with core business systems and cloud services.

You will work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions, provide technical guidance, and ensure security and compliance while supporting a hybrid remote work environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with AI-enabled or generative AI solutions.
• Proficiency with .NET, ASP.NET Core, C# and SQL Server.
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, REST APIs.
• Visual Studio, SSMS, Azure DevOps knowledge.
• SDLC, code review, testing, deployment and production support.
• Able to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Cloud experience with Azure or similar platforms.
• Experience in legal or professional services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to planning, development, integration, testing, deployment, maintenance and troubleshooting of major software systems supporting Firm operations.
• Designs, develops, tests and maintains web-based, desktop and cloud software solutions.
• Develops integrations via APIs and web services.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to identify technical solutions and plan software initiatives.
• Evaluates and uses AI-assisted development tools while following security standards.
• Provides technical guidance as a lead on project initiatives.
• Interacts with internal clients to prioritize requests and reconcile priorities.
• Ensures software meets firm security, privacy and development standards.
