HP Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Architect to define and guide the architecture of modern software platforms across client applications, backend services, cloud integrations, and edge AI-enabled systems.

You will collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to shape product direction and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance platforms. The ideal candidate combines deep system-level thinking with hands-on credibility, delivering production-grade AI/ML-enabled solutions

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or PhD) in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
• 10+ years of software engineering experience delivering complex platforms
• 5+ years in technical leadership, architecture, or principal roles

Responsabilidades

• Define and own end-to-end architecture for AI-enabled software platforms
• Establish architectural principles, system boundaries, and technology choices
• Lead AI/ML capabilities design including generative AI, LLMs, and edge AI execution
• Design production-ready AI/ML systems with telemetry, governance, and safety controls
• Align architecture across local apps, cloud services, device management, and enterprise systems
• Address non-functional requirements: security, privacy, performance, resiliency
• Maintain hands-on engagement through prototyping, reviews, and investigations
• Guide senior engineers, improve standards for architecture and lifecycle practices
• Produce architecture artifacts: diagrams, ADRs, roadmaps, risk assessments
• Evaluate emerging AI/ML frameworks and enterprise platforms for adoption
• Influence stakeholders with clear technical strategy and trade-offs
