Job summary

HP is hiring a Senior AI System Architect to shape end-to-end architecture for agentic AI software on HP PCs. You will connect AI runtimes, Windows system software, device resources, cloud services and enterprise requirements into a coherent design for engineering teams.

This role requires broad PC systems expertise and depth in AI inference to guide workload coordination, platform response to pressure, and secure, manageable design across teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in systems architecture or related field.
• Strong PC architecture knowledge, memory, compute, and resources.
• Experience integrating AI runtimes with apps and platform software.
• Ability to trade off performance, security, reliability and UX.
• Experience guiding multiple engineering teams through design and validation.

Responsibilities

• Define system architecture for AI capabilities across Windows PCs, on-device runtimes, cloud services and apps.
• Design agent interaction with platform services and workload placement across CPU, GPU, NPU and cloud.
• Address memory, latency, and thermal constraints to preserve PC experience.
• Specify interfaces and patterns for internal features, external models, and management components.
• Incorporate security, privacy, networking, deployment and manageability from the start.
• Collaborate with AI platform, system software, security and product teams to resolve dependencies.
• Set validation criteria for performance, reliability, scalability and resource efficiency.
• Review designs, communicate trade-offs, and mentor engineers on system decisions.
