Job summary

Selective Insurance is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer in the U.S. to implement and maintain automated UI and API testing frameworks. You will work with Automation Architects, Sr. QE, and developers to ensure robust test coverage and high-quality releases.

Responsibilities include planning, building, and executing tests, providing estimates, and driving automation improvements across platforms using AI-enabled approaches and modern CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software testing or test management with automation focus.
• Experience with BDD and TDD; Azure DevOps and Azure cloud testing preferred.
• Proficient in C#, Java, .NET and REST API automation; strong SQL knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain UI and API automation across multiple projects.
• Create, review and approve test plans, scenarios, and scripts.
• Provide ROM estimates and forecast automation resource needs.
• Establish metrics for productivity, progress and automation effectiveness.
• Collaborate with architects and QE team to align automation strategy.
