Job summary
Jefferson Health is seeking an Expert Software Engineer to own the full lifecycle of AI-generated applications, from design to long-term support. You will work within Jefferson's AI Factory strategy, collaborating with Architecture, Security, Product, and Operations to deliver scalable, secure AI-enabled solutions.
Responsibilities include implementing automated testing, CI/CD, and deployment practices, mentoring engineers, and ensuring compliance with security and Responsible AI requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years in software development with distributed systems and cloud platforms.
- Hands-on software engineering with AI-assisted development tools in production.
- Experience establishing standards and best practices for development teams.
- Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and deployment practices.
- Security, privacy, and compliance knowledge including Responsible AI considerations.
- Experience modernizing legacy applications and using observability platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, enhance, and support AI-enabled applications and services
- Use enterprise-approved AI-assisted development tools and platforms
- Maintain, optimize, and modernize AI-generated applications
- Establish engineering standards, patterns, and best practices
- Implement automated testing, CI/CD, and deployment practices
- Ensure security, privacy, compliance, and Responsible AI requirements
- Refactor legacy apps to support modernization roadmap
- Monitor performance and reliability using observability/telemetry
- Collaborate with Architecture, Security, Product, and Operations teams
- Mentor engineers and promote AI-assisted development adoption
- Evaluate emerging AI technologies to advance AI Factory strategy
