Job summary

Deltek, Inc. is seeking an Advanced Software Architect to lead architecture and design across AI and Services platforms. The role involves collaborating with product managers, UX and engineering leaders to align technical solutions with business goals.

You will design scalable component architectures, drive SOA and microservices patterns, and mentor UI and platform teams. A strong background in cloud-native, AI-enabled systems and DevOps is essential for success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
U.S. citizen required for this position.
Ideally, 10 to 15 years of professional experience as a software architect or similar role.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies.
Expertise in service-oriented and microservices architecture and framework design.
Hands-on knowledge of AI/agentic technologies and applying them in a production platform.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with product managers, UX designers and engineering leaders to understand project requirements and business objectives.
Design and develop a robust component architecture for the designer tool, creating reusable modular UI components.
Lead architecture decisions, code reviews and technical documentation across the AI and Services platform.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to product teams and UI engineering groups.
Translate business needs into scalable technical designs and communicate tradeoffs clearly to non-engineering stakeholders.
Guide the framework and services/microservices architecture underlying the platform for extensibility.
