Job summary

Deltek is seeking an experienced software architect to lead the design of the designer tool and AI/Services platform. You will craft reusable UI components, set architectural standards, review code, and guide cross-functional teams through complex UI and microservices challenges.

In this role, you will translate business needs into scalable technical plans, collaborate with AI/ML engineers, and maintain architecture docs. A strong leadership mindset and mentoring skills are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
U.S. citizen required for this position.
10–15 years of professional software architecture experience.
Proven leadership and mentoring skills for platform initiatives.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages and technologies.
Strong UI, code review, and maintainability focus.
Ability to translate business needs into technical plans.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with product managers, UX and engineering leaders to define requirements.
Design and develop a robust component architecture for the designer tool.
Lead architecture decisions and review code for performance and standards.
Provide technical leadership to UI teams and cross-functional partners.
Own roadmap execution and architecture for AI/Services platform.
Translate business needs into scalable technical designs and docs.
Stay current on AI/agentic systems and microservices trends.
