Job summary

TDIndustries is seeking a senior software architect to define and govern the technical architecture for custom enterprise applications and internal SaaS products sold to customers. You will translate business requirements into scalable designs, establish architectural standards, and provide technical leadership across teams including product, engineering, infrastructure, and security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field is required; Master's preferred.
• Cloud architecture certifications (AWS/Azure) or TOGAF are a plus; 8+ years in software development with 3+ years in architecture.
• Expert-level proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and modern front-end frameworks (React).
• Experience designing cloud-native architectures on Azure or AWS, including microservices, serverless, containers, and CI/CD for multi-tenant SaaS.
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL database design (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) with data isolation and multi-tenancy patterns.
• Ability to architect SaaS platforms for external customers including tenant onboarding, licensing enforcement, API design, and usage metering.
• Experience architecting for security, compliance, and high availability, including SOC II Type 2 or similar audits.
• API design and integration patterns (REST, GraphQL, event-driven) for internal and external SaaS APIs.
• Proficiency with DevOps tooling (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, IaC like Terraform/Bicep) and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with AI-powered development tools and AI features (LLM APIs, RAG, agent frameworks)
• Ability to design scalable, observable AI systems with attention to latency, token management, and output validation.
• Excellent communication; able to present complex architecture to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with PowerShell, C#, or Python is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Define and own end-to-end technical architecture for all custom applications and SaaS products.
• Establish architectural standards, coding patterns, and best practices across teams; conduct architecture reviews.
• Translate business and product requirements into architectural blueprints and design docs guiding engineering teams.
• Architect SaaS capabilities including tenant isolation, licensing, multi-region deployment, and customer-facing APIs.
• Lead evaluation of frameworks, platforms, cloud services, and third-party components; produce PoCs.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to design for performance, security, and SOC II Type 2 compliance.
• Define data architecture and governance standards for custom apps with data residency and isolation.
• Mentor developers and participate in Agile planning and cross-team alignment.
• Stay current with industry trends and recommend strategic technology investments to leadership.
• Champion AI-assisted development practices and safe integration within architecture.
