Job summary

Centene is seeking an engineer to build automation, AI-enabled solutions, and scalable infrastructure within the SDT Defense Automation & Transformation team. You will design and maintain automation tools, deploy Kubernetes workloads, and advance secure software development practices (SSDLC) across projects.

Responsibilities include building AI-enabled capabilities, integrating security, and supporting CI/CD standards while documenting solutions and sharing knowledge with colleagues.

Qualifications

Hands-on software development experience building production automation, APIs, and integrations.
Experience developing AI/ML or LLM-based solutions (agents, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling).
Experience deploying, operating, and troubleshooting workloads on Kubernetes.
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure or configuration as code.

Responsibilities

Designs, develops, tests, and maintains automation, integrations, and self-service tools.
Builds AI-enabled capabilities for AI Ops initiative.
Deploys, operates, and troubleshoots containerized workloads in Kubernetes.
