Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory seeks a Senior Super Intelligence Computational Scientist to advance the Multiphysics Computational Frameworks team. You will design and extend MOOSE, enabling high-fidelity simulations for nuclear and environmental science with international collaboration.

You will lead efforts to integrate SI-driven workflows, ML methods, and large-scale HPC optimizations, shaping technical direction and ensuring robust, reusable software across research programs.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree with required years of experience per Level 4/5.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python; OO programming and numerical methods.
• Experience with parallel computing and GPUs for large-scale scientific software.
• Experience with Large Language Models for designing agents and SI via A2A protocol.
• Export control: US citizenship or US Green Card required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, document, and support new capabilities within the MOOSE framework.
• Build SI agentic workflows pairing MOOSE with modern SI/ML methods.
• Optimize parallel performance and utilize accelerator technologies (GPUs).
• Generate synthetic data to train surrogate models and integrate into SI workflows.
• Represent the department with DOE, national labs, industry, academia, and international partners.
