Qualifications

• Master's or PhD with 6/4 years of relevant experience depending on level.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python; OO programming, finite-element methods, nonlinear analysis, engineering software development.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, document, and support new capabilities within the MOOSE framework.
• Build SI agentic workflows pairing MOOSE with modern SI/ML methods.
• Optimize parallel performance and use GPUs for large-scale simulations.
• Generate synthetic data to train surrogate models for SI-driven workflows.
• Represent the department in partnerships with DOE, labs, industry, academia, and international collaborators.
• Author technical reports, peer-reviewed publications, proposals, and presentations.
