Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Senior Engineer to shape AI-powered internal tools for intelligence workflows. You will work closely with analysts to translate needs into scalable software and AI-enabled solutions, driving impactful product outcomes.

In this hands-on role, you’ll own design, architecture, and delivery, building backend services, APIs, and user interfaces that analysts rely on every day. A strong product instinct and ownership mindset are essential to succeed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of full-stack software engineering experience building scalable web applications, services, and APIs.
• Strong product sense to identify high-impact, scalable solutions.
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript with back-end focus.
• Experience designing APIs and working with Postgres, Redis, and vector stores.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Embed with intel analysts to understand goals and translate them into technical solutions.
• Identify high-leverage opportunities to improve intelligence collection.
• Design, build, and own AI-powered internal applications end-to-end.
• Develop agentic AI solutions using models like OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini.
• Own projects from design to delivery and provide ongoing support.
• Build reliable, scalable systems used daily by analysts.
