Job summary

TRM Labs is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the Intel-focused engineering team. You will work closely with intelligence analysts to understand their workflows, then design and build AI-powered internal applications and APIs that scale.

The role emphasizes high-impact product thinking, ownership, and end-to-end delivery of durable systems that analysts rely on daily. You will prototype AI-enabled workflows, partner with data teams, and ship solutions that move beyond narrow automation to real,

Qualifications

• 6+ years of full-stack software engineering experience
• Strong product sense with ability to ship durable high-impact solutions
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript with backend focus
• Experience designing APIs and working with datastores (Postgres, pgvector, Pinecone, Redis)
• Hands-on experience with AI tools and AI-enabled workflows
• High ownership and initiative, able to work independently in ambiguity
• Strong communication to build trust with semi-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Embed with intel analysts to understand goals and translate into technical solutions
• Identify high-leverage opportunities to improve intelligence collection and productize work
• Design, build, and own AI-powered internal apps end-to-end (backend, APIs, data storage, UIs)
• Develop agentic AI solutions using models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) to scale workflows
• Own projects end-to-end including architecture, delivery, iteration, and support
• Build reliable, scalable systems that analysts depend on daily
• Continuously evaluate impact and iterate based on outcomes
