Job summary

The Citi Banking Technology team in Jersey City is seeking a Senior Full-Stack hands-on Engineer to design and deliver enterprise-grade web apps, leveraging AI development agents to accelerate delivery and raise engineering standards.

You will own end-to-end technical delivery, lead small high-autonomy squads, work across Angular frontends and Java/Spring Boot backends, ensure security and performance, and coach others to adopt an AI-first approach.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot for building scalable microservices.
• Strong front-end skills: Angular 19+, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, JSON, CSS; Web Sockets; Ajax.
• Relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB) with data modeling experience.
• Experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent).
• Proficient in GitHub and Jira; Agile/Scrum delivery; CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and build large-scale web platforms on microservices architecture spanning front-end to back-end.
• Lead system design with diagrams and data models; ensure security, scalability and performance.
• Leverage AI coding agents for generation, debugging and task delegation; ensure production readiness.
• Integrate AI workflows into CI/CD and manage multiple workstreams via intelligent delegation.
• Act as player/coach to upskill junior engineers in AI-first practices; domain understanding of Banking.
