Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Software Engineer III in Plano, TX, to build enterprise-grade AI-powered solutions. You will own full-stack features, design knowledge libraries with RAG, and implement embedding-based search pipelines, all within a high-compliance environment.

You will work across engineering, product, and risk/compliance to deliver reliable, secure software and maintainability, with a focus on groundings, guardrails, and auditability of generated outputs.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Experience building production systems: CI/CD, monitoring/alerting, incident hygiene, performance tuning.
• Familiarity with search and retrieval systems (semantic search, vector stores) and integration into applications.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise AI-assisted development tools and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Build and own end-to-end, full-stack features for AI-enabled products at scale.
• Design knowledge library and retrieval capabilities, including embedding generation and semantic search pipelines.
• Develop AI content and document-generation solutions with guardrails and auditability.
• Use enterprise AI coding assist tools to improve quality, speed, and productivity with peer review and testing.
• Improve SDLC tooling with AI-assisted development and automation capabilities.
• Engineer agentic workflows with robust validations and deterministic controls.
• Implement semantic validations to improve output quality and reduce hallucinations.
• Stay current on industry trends and translate them into pragmatic engineering decisions.
