Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Plano, TX seeks a Software Engineer III to join Corporate Technology, Employee Platforms. You will design and deliver trusted, secure, scalable technology products while collaborating in an Agile team across diverse business functions.

You will apply modern programming languages, debug and optimize code, and leverage AI-assisted tooling to improve quality, speed, and security, with automated testing and peer reviews guiding deliverables.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted development tools with ability to evaluate AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure handling of data.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to handle complex problems.
• Creates secure, high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run with related systems.
• Leverages enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools to improve code quality, speed, and productivity, with peer review and testing.
• Uses SDLC tools and automation to enhance value and efficiency of development work.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts and develops visualizations from large data sets to improve software systems.
• Proactively identifies patterns in data to drive improvements in coding hygiene and architecture.
