Job summary

T-Mobile seeks a design-system–driven engineer to evolve an AI-powered design system across Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile, collaborating with designers, engineers and product partners to create scalable components, tokens and documentation.

You will advance AI-enabled design operations, define guidelines for integrating AI into workflows, and ensure usability, accessibility, and brand consistency across platforms. A strong front-end background and Figma/React proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Web Development/Software Engineering plus 5 years of related work experience, or advanced degree with 3 years of related experience.
• 4-7 years related experience in Interaction Design or Front-End development, creating innovative solutions for ecommerce websites and native apps.
• Proficiency with AI tools to create hi-fidelity interactive prototypes and complex UI patterns.
• Strong understanding of design principles, modern UI patterns, accessibility standards, and responsive design.

Responsibilities

• Use AI tools to accelerate component generation, documentation, and workflows; create interactive prototypes for testing and iteration; deliver production-ready components.
• Lead development of design tokens, reusable components, UI patterns, and architecture for cross-platform consistency.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product partners to understand requirements and streamline communication between design and engineering.
• Research and build front-end implementations of complex UI patterns; transform prototypes into production-ready solutions across apps and teams.
• Drive design system adoption, consistency, and workflow improvements; create Figma plugins and contribution processes for efficient collaboration.
• Create technical documentation for tokens, components, and usage; host workshops on AI capabilities and scalable contribution workflows.
