Job summary

SambaSafety is seeking a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Enterprise Data Team in the United States. You will design AI-augmented dashboards and semantic layers, ensuring AI-ready data foundations and governance.

You will work with Power BI, Looker, and modern data tools to deliver trusted insights for business leaders and AI agents. The role emphasizes hands-on SQL and Python, collaboration with data engineering and data science, and a strong focus on data quality, lineage, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data-related roles, with 2+ years in BI processes.
• Expert-level SQL across different RDBMS.
• Python for data analysis and automation.
• Experience with the Modern Data Stack: Snowflake, Power BI, Looker, ETL tools.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools in real workflows.
• Experience with or interest in LLM-powered analytics: natural-language-to-SQL, RAG-based queries or Semantic Views.
• Ability to translate business definitions into semantic models for data teams.
• Familiarity with data governance/catalog tools (OpenMetadata/Atlan).
• Experience with NO-SQL databases and large-scale data is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-augmented dashboards and self-service analytics with Power BI and Looker.
• Use AI tools daily to accelerate SQL development, dashboard scaffolding, testing, and documentation.
• Prototype GenAI use cases to reduce manual reporting.
• Collaborate with data engineering and data science to productionize forecasts and anomalies in BI dashboards.
• Write Python for advanced analysis and automation.
• Maintain AI-ready metadata in OpenMetadata for AI query tools.
• Guide Semantic Views design to map business terms to tables.
• Define data quality rules to ensure trusted AI outputs.
• Trace lineage from BI reports to Snowflake sources with metadata tooling.
