ETAS in Michigan seeks a Senior Agentic Software Engineer to develop production-grade AI systems. You will architect and deploy Python back-ends, integrate LLMs, optimize vector databases, and expose secure APIs on Azure for OEMs. Agile planning and rigorous software quality standards are required.

You will collaborate across teams to deliver robust AI-driven solutions, with strong emphasis on verifiability, security, and maintainability in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of software engineering fundamentals—architecture, system design, testing strategy, debugging.
• Excellent communication skills: ability to articulate requirements clearly and build customer relationships in automotive contexts.
• Strong abstraction and problem decomposition skills across domains.
• Hands-on production experience with agentic coding tools and running multiple agents in parallel.
• Product thinking: translate user and business intent into precise specifications for autonomous execution.
• Prompt and context engineering with reliable agent behavior and repo conventions.

Responsabilités

• Own end-to-end problems from user needs through architecture, implementation, verification, and operation.
• Lead AI coding agent implementations and supervise multiple agent streams.
• Ensure correctness, security, and maintainability of merged code.
• Design for verifiability with tests, typed interfaces, CI gates, and evals.
• Collaborate across frontend, backend, infrastructure, DevOps, and data topics as needed.
• Evolve development workflows as models and agent capabilities advance.

Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
