Job summary

Ropes & Gray is seeking a Senior Applications Developer to design, build, and maintain AI-enhanced web and database solutions within the Microsoft stack. You will work across the IS team and business stakeholders to deliver AI-powered features and automation using C#, ASP.NET Core, JavaScript, and Azure AI services.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of application development experience using Microsoft .NET with C#, ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server.
• 2+ years building and consuming REST APIs.
• 2+ years in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
• 2+ years hands-on AI technologies, including prompt engineering and integration of LLMs into production apps.
• Proficiency with agentic coding tools and AI-assisted development to improve productivity and code quality.
• Experience with RAG architectures and vector databases, and semantic search techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support maintainable, scalable solutions including AI-powered features and automation.
• Design and maintain AI agents and copilots within Microsoft Copilot Studio and orchestration platforms.
• Integrate AI services (Azure OpenAI, LLMs, RAG) into enterprise applications.
• Prepare technical specs, design docs, tests, and documentation of AI configurations.
• Unit and integration testing, including AI component validation and prompt regression testing.
• Collaborate with IS, QA, business stakeholders, and vendors; clarify requirements and AI feasibility.
• Stay current with AI landscape and identify opportunities to apply new tools and techniques.
