Cisco is seeking a Security-Focused Software Engineer to provide dual-lens security guidance and hands-on development for its Intersight platform. You will collaborate across Engineering, Architecture, Product Management, SRE, and STO to build secure, scalable features including AI-powered capabilities, while maintaining rigorous compliance standards.

You will write production-grade code, assess security impact of designs, and automate remediation workflows.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience designing production backend systems.
• 5 years using Go or Java within a microservices architecture.
• 3 years focused on DevSecOps or application security.
• Experience using Python for security automation and tooling.
• Experience with secure development lifecycle (SDLC) requirements and translating findings into practical code-based remediation.
• Knowledge of vulnerability triage, automated security scan findings, and SLA-based remediation workflows.

Responsabilidades

• Use Go or Java to implement platform security features and core infrastructure.
• Partner with engineering teams to design secure patterns for AI/ML deployment, data protection, and inference security.
• Automate security tooling, remediation, and continuous compliance checks using Python.
• Interpret Cisco-level mandates and security procedures into actionable code, control expectations, and automated remediation workflows.
• Review new feature designs, AI architectures and infrastructure changes, identifying security gaps early and recommending mitigations that balance usability, performance, and security.
• Guide remediation priorities across automated scans, penetration tests, and security reviews, ensuring issues are triaged, assigned, and tracked to closure.
