Job summary

Morgan Pinnacle Group in New York City is seeking a Staff Product Engineer to define the technical direction for new AI-native developer tools. This high-impact, hands-on role requires owning architecture from definition to production and leading with clear guidance across engineering.

The ideal candidate has substantial experience in TypeScript and React, excels in ambiguity, and can deliver high-quality products in a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

• 7-20 years of experience as a full-stack/product engineer
• Ownership of 01 product builds end-to-end
• Proven experience designing, building, and deploying products in high-growth startup/scale-up environments
• Strong fundamentals across the full stack, especially TypeScript and React
• Experience setting technical direction while staying hands-on
• Experience taking complex products from early stage to adoption and great UX
• Applied AI experience or AI coding agents experience
• Strong architectural and systems-design capabilities
• Excellent communication and clarity of thought
• Ability to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong judgment on technical/product trade-offs
• Comfort with ownership, ambiguity, and fast-moving environments
• Ability to work in person 5 days/week in New York City

Responsibilities

• Own the architectural direction of new products
• Design and build next-generation AI-native developer tooling
• Take new products from 01 through production
• Translate strategy into technical roadmaps and execution plans
• Make key systems, architecture, and product decisions
• Own production outcomes: reliability, performance, operations
• Mentor senior engineers and raise engineering standards
• Operate effectively in ambiguous problem spaces
• Advance how AI and coding agents are used in software development
