Job summary

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline and 7+ years of relevant experience, including 2+ years of leadership.
• Experience leading data science or AI teams and guiding cross-functional partners.
• Deep expertise with ML/AI modeling, Generative AI, LLMs, and evaluation strategies.
• Hands-on Python with LLM libraries and data manipulation tools.
• Knowledge of databases, cloud, distributed computing, and MLOps.
• Familiarity with vector databases, retrieval systems, and knowledge graphs.
• Knowledge of financial crime regulatory requirements and AI ethics.
• Strong communication to technical and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a Data Science team, setting goals and ensuring delivery across AI initiatives.
• Guide strategy for generative AI solutions including prompt engineering and evaluation.
• Establish frameworks for LLM performance, data curation, and model risk compliance.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, and technology teams for safe deployment.
• Mentor on RLHF, fine-tuning, context optimization, and bias mitigation.
• Communicate insights to stakeholders and translate complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
