Job summary

KeyBank seeks a Senior Manager, Data Science within the Consumer Bank to lead a team of data scientists focused on AI-powered solutions across sales enablement, onboarding, servicing, and risk assessment using Generative AI and LLMs.

This role blends hands-on technical leadership with people management, emphasizing responsible AI, model risk governance, and collaboration with risk, compliance, and business partners in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field with 7+ years experience including leadership.
• Experience leading data science or AI teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Strong background in ML/AI with Generative AI, LLMs, and evaluation methodologies.
• Hands-on Python experience with ML libraries and data tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a Data Science team, guiding multiple AI initiatives.
• Guide strategy for GenAI solutions, prompt/context engineering, and model evaluation.
• Document model configurations, data requirements, and evaluation results for risk compliance.
• Collaborate with risk, compliance, tech, and business partners on responsible AI deployments.
