Job summary

Viant Technology in Irvine, CA, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Potens team and evolve Magnus and Goliath, two internal platforms that power workflow orchestration and large-scale data exploration.

This hands-on role spans backend, frontend, and data tooling, modernizing mature systems and adding AI-powered capabilities, with end-to-end ownership from design through deployment and production support.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and modernize Magnus Java applications, REST APIs, and Goliath's frontend
• Develop and support backend capabilities using Java and Go
• Build production AI features and integrations using LLMs and guardrails
• Integrate with BigQuery, MySQL, GCP services, and internal APIs
• Diagnose and resolve production issues and implement automated tests
• Own projects end to end from design to deployment and support
