Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking an AI Engineer within the Transformation Office to architect enterprise data pipelines powering ML and generative AI. You will design production‑grade data flows bridging on‑premises systems with Snowflake and cloud services, delivering high‑fidelity data for model training, inference, and RAG workflows.

The role is remote (US‑wide) with emphasis on Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Python, SQL, and PySpark.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Six (6) years of hands‑on data engineering experience with multi‑cloud data platforms.
• Expert‑level proficiency in Snowflake architecture and data sharing.
• Advanced knowledge of AWS and Azure data services (S3, Glue, Lambda, Data Factory, Synapse).
• Mastery of Python, SQL, and PySpark; experience with orchestration and Docker.
• Ability to interface with legacy on‑prem systems and transform for cloud use.
• Understanding ML data needs and Generative AI data pipelines.
• Get‑it‑done attitude; team player; able to navigate enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains ETL/ELT pipelines across on‑prem and cloud.
• Develops feature stores and analytics datasets for ML workflows.
• Engineers pipelines for generative AI use cases and vector data stores.
• Leads Snowflake architecture, Snowpipe, and multi‑cloud optimization.
• Handles data extraction from legacy systems with minimal disruption.
• Orchestrates data workflows with Airflow, AWS Step Functions, and ADF.
• Ensures data quality, observability, and governance across the stack.
• Partners with IT, security, and data science to deliver scalable solutions.
